Garment Care

At AUREA, we select garments designed to accompany you with style, comfort, and elegance. To best preserve their shape, color, and texture, we recommend always following the instructions on the inner label of each garment.

The following tips are guidelines and will help you extend the lifespan of your clothes.

General Recommendations

Wash garments inside out
Helps protect color, fabrics, and external details.

Separate light and dark colors
Avoid color transfer, especially during the first washes.

Use cold or low-temperature water
Whenever the label allows, we recommend hand washing or machine washing at a low temperature, preferably 30 ºC or less.

Use mild detergent
Avoid harsh products, bleach, or whiteners, unless the label indicates otherwise.

Avoid using the dryer when possible
Heat can shrink, deform, or wear out some fabrics. Whenever you can, air dry your garments.

Do not store damp garments
Before storing a garment, make sure it is completely dry to prevent bad odors or fabric deterioration.

Delicate Garments

For delicate fabrics such as satin, lace, fine knit, chiffon, viscose, or garments with special details, we recommend:

  • hand washing or delicate cycle,
  • cold water,
  • mild detergent,
  • low spin or no spin,
  • air drying,
  • avoid wringing the garment.

If in doubt, it is safest to opt for a delicate wash and always follow the inner label.

Black or Dark Garments

To better preserve the color of dark garments:

  • wash them inside out,
  • use cold water,
  • avoid drying them directly in the sun,
  • use detergent for colored clothes,
  • do not mix with light garments.

Black color can fade with use and washing, so proper care helps maintain it for longer.

Knitwear

Knitwear can lose its shape if hung when wet.

We recommend:

  • washing them carefully,
  • not wringing them,
  • drying them flat,
  • folding them for storage instead of hanging them for a long time.

Ironing

Before ironing, always check the garment's label.

As a general rule:

  • iron at a low temperature,
  • use steam with caution,
  • iron inside out when possible,
  • avoid applying direct heat to prints, embroidery, rhinestones, sequins, or decorative details.

Accessories and Complements

To better preserve accessories, costume jewelry, or complements:

  • avoid direct contact with perfumes, creams, water, or chemical products,
  • store pieces separately to avoid friction,
  • clean them gently with a dry cloth,
  • avoid exposing them to humidity or direct heat for long periods.

Cosmetics and Stains

If a garment comes into contact with makeup, perfume, creams, or cosmetic products, we recommend treating the stain as soon as possible following the fabric's instructions.

Avoid rubbing vigorously, as you could damage the fiber or spread the stain.

Important

These recommendations are general. The main indication will always be the inner label of each garment.

AUREA is not responsible for damages resulting from use, washing, ironing, or preservation contrary to the product label's instructions.
